The upgrade of the old TNA-57 antenna, based in Sofia (Bulgaria), has been completed by Sicilsat Communications.
The antenna today takes a new life, with a 4-port feed and new sub-reflector operating in the 3.4 – 4.2 GHz band for the reception and in the 5.85 – 6.725 GHz band for the transmission with an axial ratio of 0.5 dB max in both bands.
Sicilsat also modified an antenna of the same type in Baikonur (Russia) bringing the frequency of use to 8 GHz with a Monopulse feed.
